Pro Bono Club Outreach Program @ Beechagondahalli
The Pro Bono Club of the School of Legal Studies is organizing an outreach program in Beechagondahalli, Kolar District on October 17th to commemorate the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The Pro Bono Club of the School was established under the Nyaya Bandhu Scheme of the Department of Justice, under the aegis of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
45 Student volunteers of the club will visit Beechagondahalli and raise awareness about the various poverty eradication schemes of the Central and State Governments. The students will achieve this goal through speeches, personal interactions with the beneficiaries, distribution of pamphlets and performance of street plays.
The Students will also raise awareness about the Nyaya Bandhu App launched by the Department of Justice, which promotes Pro Bono Lawyering by linking the poor and underprivileged who are in need of legal services, with lawyers willing to offer their services for free.
