The school of civil engineering has organized two days International Web conference on “Advanced Research in Civil Engineering (ICARCE-2020)-10th and 11th July of 2020”. The main objective of the conference was focused to provide platform to young researchers and engineers, academicians and PG students, to present their research findings of their respective domains of knowledge shared ideas and viewed in various fields of civil engineering. About 140 delegates attended the conference. Web conference ICARCE-2020 was conducted on Microsoft Teams platform.
The conference started with inaugural session which was chaired by Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Chancellor, REVA University, Dr. K. Mallikharjuna Babu ,Vice-Chancellor, REVA University, Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, Registrar, REVA University, Chief guest Dr. Dhruva Kumar from city of Glasgow Colloge,UK, Guest of Honor Dr.Stuart Caffrey from city of Glasgow Colloge,UK, Dr. Y .Ramalinga Reddy, Associate Dean (CE&ME) and Director, school of Civil Engineering and Dr. K. S Narayan Swamy, Director, school of mechanical engineering.
In the conference total received abstract were 141 and 140 were accepted for presentation.
The first session key note address was given by Dr.Radhakrishna, Professor, RVCE, Bangalore, on topic “Basic of Geopolymer Concrete”
The Second session key note address was given by Dr. Seshadri Sekhar Tirumala, Professor & Dean, NICMAR, Hyderabad on topic “Impact Resistance on Glass Fiber Self-Concrete Specimens”
The Third session key note address was given by Dr. Dhruva Kumar, Head of curriculum, Marine Engineering, Faculty of Nautical & STEM Professor & Dean, City of Glasgow College, UK.
Later 64 papers were presented in their respective domain of knowledge, shared ideas and views in various field of civil engineering. At the end, the programme was concluded by interactive session.
On second day (11th July 2020) began with a keynote lecture-4 by Dr. Voggu Srinivas, Senior Scientist, CSIR-SERC, Chennai, on topic “Robust Technologies for Health Monitoring and Performance Evaluation of Structures”. Keynote lecture-5 was address by Dr.V Srihari, Professor, NICMAR, Hyderabad topic on “Principles of environmental management system” and later 18 papers were presented in their respective domain of knowledge, shared ideas and views in various field of civil engineering. At the end, the programme was concluded by interactive session.
Keynote lecture-6 was address by Dr. K Srinivasa Raju, Associate Professor, Anna University, Chennai on the topic of “Trends in Geomantics for Water Resource Planning and Management. At the end Conclusion and vote of Thanks were given.
