An expert lecture on Mughal Architecture has been arranged for the 4th semester students from the school of Architecture, for the subject History of Architecture IV. To elaborate the topic Mughal Architecture, Prof. Shubhi Sonal, School of Architecture, REVA University, has been invited.

The lecture was focused on Mughal architecture beyond Taj at the city of Agra. Prof. Shubhi explained the evolution of Islamic architecture and specific elements during Mughal rule in India.

Her session was focused on elaboration on following topics:
1. Architecture influenced by politics, prosperity and religion
2. Evolution of tomb from flat open to sky tomb to dome covered mausoleum
3. Basic and complex geometry behind Mughal structure
4. Introduction to Chinese, catholic and Hindu tomb influenced by Mughal architecture
5. Unrevealed several myths behind Taj Mahal

The session was informative and significant for understanding Mughal architecture to the core. Students have enjoyed and learned important aspects of Mughal Architecture.
