The Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences, REVA University has organised an industrial visit for B.Sc. Second year BCsM students to Genotypic Technologies Pvt.Ltd. Bengaluru, on 19th October 2019.  Sixty four students accompanied by Prof. Prashantha C N, started the journey at 8:45 a.m. 
Genotypic Technology is the first Genomics service provider in India providing Microarray, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Bioinformatics services and solutions to domestic / international pharma, biotech companies and academia.
During the visit students were asked to assemble in Training Room in the Industry. Technical head gave brief introduction of Genotypic technology. Further in the Presentation, they showcased the company services, products, research and training providing to the customers. Students were divided into two groups. Each of these two groups were led by a technical head toward different laboratories, the research laboratory contains Next generation sequencing instruments, PCR instruments, Microarray instrument, Microarray Scanners, bioinformatics laboratory.
