About the Event: Students from 4th Semester B.Arch studied and experienced hands-on learning from the expert lecture on Lumion rendering software by Ar Ressy RK as a part of CAAD II for 4th sem.
Outcome of the Event: Guidance and training were given by Ar Ressy for Lumion rendering software.
The students learnt the process of importing a sketch-up file into the Lumion software. Students were taught about the basic tools and user interface of the Lumion software. They were familiarized about the application of different materials on the façade of the 3D building model and change the settings for the same. The different natural backdrops were explored by students. The terrain of the land could be modified in many ways. Students were also guided on how to place different types of objects such as natural elements, trees, animals, birds, furniture’s, human figures, vehicles, streetlights etc.
A basic understanding and explanation of camera setting was delivered to the students by Er. Ressy. They learnt how to take different views and video walk-throughs of the scene setting as well.
The key idea here was to involve the students to have a hands-on experience to render a given 3D SketchUp building model.
