The School of Civil Engineering had arranged a Field Visit to Muddenahalli, Chickballapur District. dated on 24/10/2019, for 1st Semester students of A, B, C & D sections. These students were accompanied by the faculties. Muddenahalli is a small village in Chickballapur district, 45 kms from Bengaluru. This is an ordinary village, but one of the greatest engineers, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was born here and his Samadhi is constructed there. It is a trend in REVA University that every first-year students should visit that place to get the blessings of Sir.M.V, The visit is commenced in the Morning where students came to know about the history of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, popularly known as Sir M.V, was diwan of Mysore during Mysore Kingdom and was a visionary engineer who undertook KRS, Linganamakki dam and many other challenging projects, which serve the nation flawlessly even today. Sir MV’s house is now converted into a Museum and houses some of the rare items belonging to the legendary engineer. Photography is banned inside the building, so no photos are allowed. We have planned the field visit to Muddenahalli as a mark of respect for the ace engineer of yester years.
