The Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences in association with Clini India organised an interactive session for the third semester PG students of Biotechnology.
The interaction was done through the Google Meet app . Mr.Anuj Tripathi along with the resource person of Clini India Mr. Syed Haque conducted the webinar to share insightful details about clinical trials and research, the stand of clinical research in India and globally along with various companies that offer jobs in this arena. Apart from these topics, he also explained about the different phases of trials and how these trials are designed and conducted by Clinical data management associates. The talk was crystal clear in terms of explanation and presentation. Each subject under clinical research and management was explained precisely by Mr. Haque.
Mr. Haque also enlightened the students regarding the various components of clinical data management, phases, drug development process and the key players of clinical trials who contribute tirelessly towards improving the quality of life of patients. Separate emphasis was laid on drug development process wherein, he explained how an IND is discovered and what are its prospects. He even told the students about the functioning of sponsors and CROs in financing and conducting trials and research.
At the end of the meeting, there was a quick question-answer session wherein, students' questions were entertained very well by the speakers. It was a one to one interactive session where students asked questions on several topics related to the webinar subject as well to the career opportunities that they can find in their academic path. The speakers helped students gain immense knowledge and confidence through this session. All in all, it was an extremely beneficial and constructive online interaction.
