Dr. B.E. Kumaraswamy a renowned research scientist in the field biosensors and a wonderful academician from Dept. Of Industrial Chemistry, Kuvempu University, Shimoga. Dr. B.E. Kumaraswamy delivered a scientific research talk on “Applications of Cyclic Voltammetry in Research”, through MS Teams. During this session he has presented some fundamental aspects of Electrochemical reactions including reversible, irreversible and quasi reversible reactions. He also, explained about electronics used to study the biosensors. Dr. B.E. Kumaraswamy shared his fruitful research memories during his Postdoctoral experiences in USA.

The main highlights of his talk includes. 

• Importance of Chemistry in research. 
• How biological sensors are developed and their working principles.
• Why Electroanalytical chemistry can call it has smart machine of many applications.
• Presented about the electron transfer reactions in biological sensors.

The lecture was attended by all M.Sc. chemistry students, research scholars and faculty of chemistry through MS teams. The lecture was very useful for who are interested to work on biosensors. There are more than 130 members have been registered and participated in the webinar.
