Description: School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized “Awareness session on verifying indexing before publication” on 5th November 2020 between 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, on online Microsoft Teams Platform.
The resource person of the Interdisciplinary Talk was Dr. Ravikumar M.G., Assistant Professor, School of ECE, REVA University. Dr. graduated with his Ph.D., Underwater Acoustic Communication, REVA University, Bengaluru 

Dr. Ravi Kumar M G has 5 years of teaching and research experience. He has many research publications in reputed and indexed national/international journals and conferences. Some of the journals where his research articles published are Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore having good impact factors. He has published 20 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, 5 papers in reputed national and international conferences. He is involved in research that covers various sorts of Underwater Acoustic Communication and Signal Processing such as Channel Modelling, Channel Estimation, Channel Coding, MIMO-OFDM design and Image Processing, etc. He has worked for 2 years for the successful completion of the research project funded by NRB, DRDO, and presently working for the research project funded by ISRO - RESPOND. He is a reviewer of IEEE Transactions, IEEE Access Journal, and various reputed journals and conferences. 

The key highlights of the programme were:
1. How to choose a suitable journal
2. Verifying the journals indexing, Q rating, Citation index, etc
3. Speaker all thrown light on how to go ahead with conference proceedings
4. Discussions

Around 50 participants were there including both faculty and the research scholars from the School of ECE.
We would like to thank our beloved Chancellor, Dr. P. ShyamaRaju sir for providing all facilities and support to conduct this programme. Respected Vice-Chancellor sir, Registrar Dr. M.Dhanamjaya sir, for their motivation, help, and support to conduct this webinar. We also thank our Director, School of ECE, Dr. R C. Biradar sir, and Assistant Director Dr. K M Sudarshan sir for their constant support and always motivating us to organize such events in the School of ECE.
