REVA IMPRINT: The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering presents an innovative preventer to aid farmers in irrigation works
Bangalore, March 31, 2020: Premier education institution REVA University presents the achievements and accomplishments of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) as part of its ongoing academic excellence series ‘REVA IMPRINT’.
The School of EEE has ideated, conceptualized and developed a single phase converter, a circuit that will play a crucial role in extending the shelf life of 3-phase motors used by farmers in agricultural fields.
Speaking about the innovation, Dr. Rajashekar P Mandi, Professor and Director, School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, said most often agriculturalists and farmers spend a lot of money on motor repairs and replacements due to fluctuations in electricity, and the single-phase preventer was a ‘powerful shield’ in arresting such fluctuations.
