About Nano Jatha At nanoscale, matter behaves differently, depending sensitively on the size and shape. The contribution of nanoscience and technology is in every conceivable field: Agriculture, Industries, Technology, Electronics, Communications, Healthcare, Space explorations, Energy, Material Sciences, and Environment, to name a few.
The Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Govt. of Karnataka has been organizing since 2007 an annual international nano event, well known as Bengaluru India Nano, under the guidance of Vision Group on Nanotechnology headed by Prof. C N R Rao, FRS, Linus Pauling Research Professor and Honorary President, JNCASR. The 13th Edition of the Bengaluru India Nano event is scheduled during 1-3 August 2024 in Bengaluru. As a curtain raiser towards the main event, Nano Jathas are being planned in select places to create awareness about nanoscience and technology in general, and also to provide wide publicity to Bengaluru India Nano. To showcase the current knowledge in nanoscience and technology, and to disseminate information about Bengaluru India Nano, Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS) is organizing in different parts of the country Nano Jathas - special events comprising lectures by expert scientists in the field, video shows, interactive sessions with the audience and exhibition that has several live demonstrations illustrating the topic.
EXHIBITS INCLUDE:
