The School of EEE had organized seminar on "Electrical Machines" on 28th September, 2018 between 10:50 AM to 12:50 PM in KALPANA CHAWLA SEMINAR Hall for B.Tech. 5th Semester students.
The Seminar was delivered by Dr. Rajashekar P Mandi, Director, School of EEE.
The seminar was focused on the following key points:
1. Introduction, construction, and working of DC Generators and DC Motors
2. Different types of DC Generators and DC Motors
3. Characteristics, Cork screw rule
4. Armature reaction
5. Commutation
Following are the outcomes achieved :
1. Students will be able to recognize different types of DC Machines.
2. Explain the process of armature reaction and methods to overcome armature reaction.
3. Understand the concepts of commutation and methods to overcome commutation problem.
