The School of EEE had organized a seminar on Electrical safety on 30th January, 2019 between
10:50 AM to 12:50 PM in Kalpana Chawla Seminar Hall, C V Raman Block for 8th semester B.Tech. Students. Dr. Rajashekar P Mandi, Director, School of EEE was the resource person.
The following are the key points:
1. Importance of Electrical safety.
2. Electricity hazards and Shock.
3. Electrical safety standards and rules.
4. Case studies from industry.
5. Importance of earthing
All the students were very happy as they had the opportunity to see the case studies from industry and learnt about the various IE rules and standards. The importance of electrical safety from Electrical engineers perspective was highlighted. The students also learnt how to prevent the various electrical hazards and shock. Our Director shared his vast industrial experience and highlighted to the students about various aspects of Electrical safety and its importance in the industry. He also gave an insight into the various job opportunities and certifications.
