The School of EEE had organized an Seminar on HVDC Systems: an overview “on 29th April, 2019 for Students and faculties of EEE. Dr.Premila Manohar, HOD Dept of EEE,MSRIT was the resource person.
The following are the key points covered in the seminar:
1. Introduction to HVDC Systems.
2. Need for HVDC Transmission
3. Advantages and Economics of HVDC Transmission
4. Application Areas
All the students were very keen on understanding the basics and need for HVDC Transmission. The session was very informative and interactive as students were involved in the seminar. The seminar gave a very good insight and introduced the audience to the various trending research areas in the field of HVDC Transmission.
