SENTINEL HACK 2.0 - 24 Hour State Level Hackathon

3 Students won 2nd Prize in SENTINEL HACK 2.0 - 24 Hour State Level Hackathon @ KSIT, Bengaluru on 12th & 13th November 2019

Its our pleasure to inform you all that, 3 students from School of Computing and Information Technology were participated in SENTINEL HACK 2.0 - 24 Hour State Level Hackathon organized at K. S. Institute of Technology, Kanakapura Main Road, Bengaluru on 12th & 13th November 2019 have won 2nd Prize in the Hackathon and got a prize money of Rs. 15,000/-.

Students who won 2nd prize in the Hackathon are:

  1. Mr. Sai Manoj (7th sem CSE)
  2. Mr. Shubham Baid (5th sem CSE)
  3. Mr. Rupera Jalay Rajeshbhai (5th sem CSE)

About SENTINEL 2.0

This 24 hour hackathon was an initiative taken by the K.S Institute of Technology, to inspire the students to pursue their passion towards a technical future. The students can make use of this opportunity to improve their knowledge base in various fields and come up with innovative ideas to solve real world problems.

The hackathon focuses on bringing students with similar mind-sets together in order to provide them with a chance to enhance their capabilities and work towards achieving a common goal centered on an intriguing set of different ideas.

In this Hackathon 70 teams were participated from all over Karnataka.

Chief Guest for the event was Dr. K. Elangovan, Assistant Innovation Director, Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi and Guest of Honour was Mr. Shashank Krishna, INTERPOL Drone Working Group Member - Anti Drone Wing, Singapore.

Domain and Problem Statement selected from our students

The project was done under the domain of Global Warming.

Problem Statement was - Detecting the whales on the ocean surface through automated drone to collect snot samples and predict the Algal Bloom present in the oceans using the snot samples collected from whales.
