Signing of MoU with the Public Relations Council of India and Launch of the REVA Young Communicators Club

On July 31, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Department of Journalism and Communication, REVA university and the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI). The event also marked the initiation of the Young Communicators Club, an initiative aimed at fostering young talent in the field of public relations and communication.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. M. Manjunatha, who introduced the dignitaries present and outlined the agenda for the day. This was followed by an inspiring opening address by Dr. Sudeshna Das, HoD, Journalism and Communication emphasizing the importance of this collaboration and the potential it holds for the future of public relations in India.

Mr. Jayaram MB, President of PRCI, delivered the keynote speech, highlighting the evolving landscape of public relations and the crucial role that young communicators will play in shaping its future. The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MoU. Dr. N. Ramesh, Vice chancellor, and Ms. Chinmayee Praveen, President of YCC - PRCI, signed the document in the presence of esteemed guests and student representatives. This MoU symbolizes a commitment to collaborate on various initiatives, including training programs, workshops, and joint events aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of PR professionals.

Following the signing ceremony, the Young Communicators Club was officially launched.
