Regarding to “Social Outreach 2020–THE JOY OF GIVING”, School of Computing and Information Technology took a major initiative step with an aim of participating, supporting and providing a platform for our REVA University students to be part of this prestigious social service event.
Plan: To visit an Orphanage, providing urgent medical requirements, fruits, snacks, create awareness about personal hygiene and Dance programme.
Orphanage: “Home of Hope”, NEW ARK MISSION OF INDIA, Doddagubbi Village, KRC Road, Bangalore 560077.
Home of Hope is an NGO with mission to rescue the destitute and the dying people from the streets. To enrich their lives with hope and purpose. To provide them shelter, care and medication. To impart education for children rescued from the streets. To empower such individuals with vocational training so as to enable them to become self-supporting and self-reliant. To improve basic amenities offered to the residents so that they would lead a fulfilled, noble life and death. To catalyze overall development of the homeless people, NAMI hopes to collaborate with mainstream institutions (both corporate and not-for-profit organizations) that are willing to provide support through finance, medical care, education and volunteers to help support the mission and vision of the organization. To open the ‘Home of Hope’ Centre in each and every state across the country. To transform the nation with greater and stronger values of service towards the underprivileged.

Amount received for Contribution from faculty members & students: Rs. 13625/-
Faculty members, non-teaching staff and student volunteers visited Home of Hope on Friday, 31st January 2020. The event started with awareness programme about personal hygiene, followed by donation of urgent medical requirements, snacks and fruits and other required materials to needy people in Home of Hope. The event concluded with Dance programme.
