Events:
1. Short Speech
2. Poster and Slogan designing

REVA University organised the Swachchta Pakhwada, a 15-day Cleanliness Drive to support and promote a clean and green India. On this occasion, the School of Arts and Humanities of REVA University conducted two events – 1) Short Speech 2) Poster and Slogan designing, to observe the Swachchta Pakhwada, on the 20th of January, 2020. Several students from various schools participated in the event with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The theme of the event was Cleanliness. The topics for speech and the themes for the Posters were shared three days in advance through the Circular. The themes were primarily centered on cleanliness and greenery around us. The purpose of the activities was not only to raise awareness about keeping our surrounding clean and green but also encourage youth to lead this drive actively.

The first activity, Short speech activity, was conducted indoors with very enthusiastic participants from different Schools in REVA University.  The participants delivered ardent speeches in English, Hindi and Kannada, on different topics related to a clean eco system. The students strongly supported the cause through their inspiring speeches. The positive zeal with which the students spoke gave a glimpse of how strongly they adhered to the Cleanliness drive being observed in REVA University. The other event - Poster and Slogan designing was conducted outdoors, amidst nature. The purpose of this activity being conducted outdoors was to help students connect to the environment and take live inspiration from the clean and green surrounding. There were many students from different Schools who came in groups to participate in this event. The creativity with which the students sketched and coloured their expression on the canvas was highly commendable. Though the theme given was common for all, the students presented their perceptions very uniquely. The manner in which the posters were designed clearly brings out how deeply the participants connected with the idea pictured in it. Other than the active participants, there were many other students who were present at the events to witness, encourage and support the cause.  Both the activities were conducted and supervised by the enthusiastic staff members of School of Arts and Humanities.
