The Resource person of the Technical Talk was Mr. Pragnajit Datta Roy, Senior Staff Engineer, Qualcomm, Bangalore. Mr. Pragnajit has more than seventeen years of experience in SoC performance modelling/analysis (SystemC), High Level Synthesis design methodology, tools and validation. He is currently leading pre-silicon platform performance engineering and analysis work for Snapdragon SoC at Qualcomm Inc. He has good understanding and experience of IP and System performance optimization challenges and trade-off having led performance analysis work on multiple Snapdragon chipset catering to mid-tier and value tier OEM’s like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi etc. He has strong understanding of modern CPU/GPU and Domain Specific Architecture, CPU/GPU/SoC performance issues, Hardware centric algorithm optimization principle. His areas of interest are High Level Synthesis, Computer Architecture, Machine Vision, Persistent Memory and storage, CPU/GPU/Memory/System performance analysis.
