Technical Talk Report on Unmanned Aerial and guided Vehicles through LIDAR technology

The Resource person of the Technical Talk was Dr. Sujit Associate Professor, IIIT Delhi.

Dr. P.B. Sujit is an Associate Professor at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, New Delhi, India. He received the bachelor's degree from Bangalore University, India, in 1998, Master's degree from Visveswaraya Technological University, India, in 2002, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2006. Earlier, he was a Research Scientist at Universidade do Porto, Portugal and Post-Doctoral Fellow in Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

His research interests are unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater vehicles, multi-robot systems, guidance and control, and human-robot interaction.

Around 80 students from the School of ECE attended the Technical Talk.

The Technical Talk focused on following key points:

  1. LIDAR technology.
  2. Drone remote sensing.
  3. How do drones work and what is drone technology?
  4. What is LIDAR, and how is it being used with UAVs
  5. Unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater vehicles guidance and control.
