“The Art of Patent Writing”, by Mr. Buri Ankaiaha elaborated the contents of patent specification such as title, field of invention, background, detailed description, working method, advantages, claims, drawings and abstract. Sir elaborated on multiple examples to explain each of these concepts in detail. Focusing on the importance of the writing the claims to protect the commercial value of their patentable ideas, he thoroughly exercised the students through multiple examples on writing independent and dependent claims. Sir also highlighted the need for well written claims to protect the exclusive rights of the inventions and designs along with the role claims in prosecuting a competitor for any infringement.
