The department of English celebrated Freshers’ Day with great enthusiasm on 12 January, 2024 at REVA University. The event aimed to welcome and integrate the new batch of students into the university community, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among them. 

The event took place in the Kalpana Chawla auditorium, which was adorned with vibrant decorations and banners showcasing the college's spirit. The organizing committee worked diligently to create an inviting atmosphere, incorporating the college colours and theme into the overall design. 

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Narayanaswamy, the Dean and Dr. Abhisarika, Head of the department. This set the tone for the day and provided the newcomers with an understanding of the college's academic leadership. 

To break the initial ice and encourage interaction, various ice-breaking activities were organized. The cultural segment of the event showcased the diverse talents of the students.  

A highlight of the Freshers' Day celebration was the Mr. and Miss Fresher contest. Participants showcased their confidence, talent, and personality in a friendly competition. The winners were crowned and received tokens of appreciation from the college administration. 

The department Freshers' Day was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and excitement among the new students. The event not only provided a platform for talent display but also facilitated interactions that are crucial for a positive college experience. The organizing committee's efforts were commendable, ensuring that the day was memorable for the freshers and set a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
