From November 19th to 22nd, 2024, students participated in an intensive Kinhal Art Workshop as part of the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) initiative. Hosted at the prestigious Regional Design and Technical Research Centre, under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles and Handicrafts, the workshop provided a unique opportunity to explore the intricacies of Kinhal art—a craft deeply rooted in India’s cultural heritage. The event was guided by P. Chandran, Design Head of the Centre and Assistant Director at the Handicrafts Services Centre, whose leadership significantly enhanced the learning experience.
