Two-day Literature Festival Sangama

REVA University hosted the two-day Literature Festival Sangama at the REVA University campus. The inauguration of the festival was held in the august presence of prominent authors Dr. P. Sivakami and Dr. Perumal Murugan. Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Chancellor of REVA University presided over the event. 

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a panel discussion with Dr. P. Sivakami and Dr. Perumal Murugan on the topic of Equity and Inclusion. The Literature Festival also had Masterclass sessions by Kalki Subramaniam, Activist and Artist; Dadapeer Jyman, Poet, Writer and Member of QueerPoets Collective; and Rumi Harish, Activist on the topics: “We are not the Others” & “Queer Khayal.” 

The event had an eclectic mix of authors, thinkers, and activists and showcased an array of panel discussions, dance dramatization, open-board dialogues, Rap-hip bouncing and theme-based face-painting activities. The Literature Festival aimed to delve deep into the mosaic of narratives and discussions that challenge pre-conceptions, open windows to unexplored voices, and explore uncharted identities and oppressed voices to promote equity and inclusion.
