Theme: Voices from the Margin – Equity and Inclusion
Concept Note - Sangama The Two-Day Literature Festival ‘Sangama’ focusing on the theme of “Voices from the Margins” provides the forum for the confluence of thoughts, ideas, emotions, and the varied experiences throughout the life of marginalised. It will have an eclectic mix of authors, thinkers, and activists. This event will also showcase an array of panel discussions, dance dramatization, open-board dialogues, Rap-hip bouncing and the theme-based face painting activities. This Literature Festival aims to delve deep into the mosaic of narratives and discussions that challenge the pre-conceptions and open windows to unexplored voices. The event aims to explore the uncharted identities and oppressed voices with the aim of promoting equity and inclusion.

In conversation with Dr. P Shivakami and Dr. Perumal Murugan
Dr. P. Sivakami Dr. P. Sivakami, an ex-IAS officer turned writer is a prominent novelist, Essayist, Poet, and an orator on social issues. She served as Special Commissioner, Directorate of Stationery and Printing for the government of Tamil Nadu and Collector in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. In 2009, she founded her own political party, Samuga Samathuva Padai.
Dr. Perumal Murugan Dr. Perumal Murugan, Professor & an eminent Indian Author of eleven novels and five collections each of short stories and poetry. He has twice been longlisted for the National Book Award for Translated Literature - for Mathorubagan (One Part Woman) and Poonachi (The Story of a Goat). He is the Vice President of PEN International. His novel Pyre (Pukkuli) was longlisted for the International Booker Prize 2023.

Master Classes by Eminent Authors and Artists
Dadapeer Jyman is a Kannada poet, writer, translator. He was awarded Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2022 for his collection of short stories, Neelakurinji, and also won the, the 2021 Masti Venkatesh Iyegar Book Prize for the same.
Kalki Subramaniam an artist, actress, writer, inspirational speaker, and entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu.
