Dr. Anshu Rani shared few insights on “Scale Development”
Many of us use ‘scales’ of different types in our research to measure, for example, attitudes, gender equality, self-esteem, life satisfaction or quality of life but the complete understanding of developing psychometric measures and tools are still unknown by many of us. Dr Anshu Rani’s lecture was on the construction of ‘Scales’ with special focus on doing research with management related topics. Her lecture focussed on providing basic understanding of measurement and measure development procedures.
The lecture covered the following topics:
Speakers’ Profile: The workshop was led by Dr. Anshu Rani who holds an expertise on the topic of Scale Development. She is working as an Assistant Professor with REVA University since 10 long years. Dr. Anshu Rani has a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from the Visvesvaraya Technological University, with a Masters in Business Administration degree in HR & Marketing from the University of Pune and a B.Sc in Physics from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag. She is a motivated teacher having 12 years of experience in teaching various Management subjects. She poses a keen interest in research and publications. She has authored several articles in International journals as well as book chapters with reputed publishers. She has presented research papers in various national and international conferences of repute. She has also worked as a resource person for few guest lectures and invited talks in research and management related topics.
Participants: The lecture was open for doctoral scholars and faculties of SMS and SOC of REVA University respectively.
