Title: Webinar on Internet of Things Security

Description: We take pleasure to inform that the Team 6 School of ECE had organized a webinar on “IoT Security” on 30/05/2020(from 3.30pm to 4.40pm) through MS Teams. Around 90 members (Students + Faculty) of ECE took active participation in the webinar.
The resource Person of the Webinar was Mr. Manoj Kashyap R from M/s. Ethicalbyte Pvt. Ltd. He is an IoT Specialist. He has trained more than 2500 Students fraternity and 180 Corporate.
The webinar focused on the following points:
1. IoT Architectural layers.
2. Case Studies of few IoT enabled devices Such as Syska LED Bulbs, IoT enabled cars.
3. The Vulnerabilities caused due to the open source hardware such as ESP8266, ESP32.
4. Bluefrag vulnerabilities of MI band connected to Smart phone.
5. Methods of hacking e.g. Hardware reversing(finding a UART Pins and trying to get into shell)
6. Sql Injection, usage of Parrot OS.
7. Usage of tools such as logic analyzer and dissembler for hacking purpose of Electronic IoT devices.
8. Usage of Hackrf1 and RTL SDR for tapping of RF signals.
At the end of session, Mr. Kashyap clarified many queries posed by the participants.
