Webinar on Learning Disability Conceptualization Assessment Remediation and Intervention

Department of Psychology, School of Arts and Humanities, REVA University, Bangalore, organized the webinar on “Learning Disability: Conceptualization, Assessment, Remediation and Intervention” on 18th August 2020 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm through an online platform, Webinar Video Meetings.
The resource person Dr.Anupama V, a well-known Psychologist and Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bangalore, delivered a scientific lecture on “Learning Disability: Conceptualization, Assessment, Remediation and Intervention”. The talk included: basics and terms used in the study of learning disabilities, different concepts of learning disability, specific causes of learning disabilities, characteristics of learning disabilities, signs and symptoms of learning disabilities, specific learning disabilities and its forms, assessment procedures of learning disabilities. She spoke about different procedures which can be used as assessment tools to measure learning disabilities. She specially concentrated on NIMHANS Index for Learning Disabilities and Remediation procedures. She also spoke about the Psychological Intervention procedures used in treating Learning Disabilities.  Finally, the resource person clarified all the questions raised by students and faculties. The lecture was attended by all our BA Psychology higher semester students. The lecture was useful for BA Psychology students, especially for final year students.
