School of Biochemistry organized a Webinar on "Technical specifications of Ventilators for COVID-19" on 23.05.2020 at 2:00 pm. The resource person was Mr. Prithviraj S J, Technical support consultant, Breas Medical and Founder of P.K respiratory solutions. The talk involved the basics of mechanical ventilation, WHO guidelines on Technical specifications for COVID- 19 related patients and COVID-19 management protocol for hospitalized patients. Around 125 participants attended the webinar. The attendees included Faculty members from both engineering and non-engineering streams, students of REVA University and also external participants. The queries of the attendees on various biomedical aspects was answered by the speaker. Amidst the situation of COVID-19, it is at most necessary for researchers to understand the clubbing of science and technology to overcome the pandemic.
