World Bicycle Day and Cleaning Program

The Department of Physical Education and Sports in association with NSS Unit and NCC Wing organised " World Bicycle Day and Cleaning Program" on 10th June 2023 at Akkayamma hills, Bangalore North with the theme of Eco-Ride. The event started at 6:00 AM from REVA University's main gate and the group moved towards Akkayamma Betta Via Bagalur.
Bicycle is a symbol of sustainable transportation fostering the message of Sustainable Consumption and Production. Cycling is known for its myriad benefits to health and the environment, including increasing physical activity, reducing non-communicable diseases such as cancer and diabetes, and decreasing air and noise pollution. It also recognises cycling as a facilitator of the achievement of many Sustainable Development Goals, including those on education, energy, employment, cities and inequalities.
