REVA University prides itself in offering an international standard of education recognised across the world. REVA University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), the highest regulatory body to maintain standards for Higher education in India. REVA University has established the International Students Cell at University campus for assisting international students to tackle various issues such as immigration, orientation, extension of visas, accommodations and other concerns. The International Students’ Cell guides international students in order to adapt to the new environment.

In order to obtain VISA in the name of REVA University

Student needs to apply for the desired programme and pay admission fee or registration fee to get provisional admission certificate from the University. After receiving the admission letter, the student should immediately apply for the student VISA at the Indian embassy located in the respective country.

After receiving the VISA, the scanned copy of the same has to be mailed to the University admission department or else to below-mentioned email addresses. or or

During his/her studies at the University, it is the obligation of the student to ensure that he/she has a valid visa and renew their visa periodically based on the requirement.

Once the student is in the University, the admission procedure will be completed and he/she will be given orientation about the University and statutory requirements of FRRO.

B.Tech – Engineering Programmes

Pass in 10+2 examination pattern with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology/ Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational as one of the optional subjects. The candidate should obtain at least 45% marks in the above subjects in aggregate from any board recognised by the respective Country / Governments / Central Government / Union Territories or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto.

Bachelor of Architecture Programme

Pass in PUC/10+2/ Pre-University Course or equivalent with a minimum 50% in PCM in aggregate, or 10+3 Diploma (Architecture, Civil, and Interior design] or equivalent recognised course by the Central/State Governments with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of the examination are also eligible to apply.

The candidate should qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture [NATA] conducted by Council of Architecture, which is mandatory.

JEE part 2 also is considered as equivalent to NATA.

Instructions to international students

  • Registration – International students are instructed to register with Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office (FRRO),5th Floor, BMTC Bus Stand Building, A Block, TTMC, K H Road, Shanthinagar, Near ESI Hospital, Bangalore–560027.
  • You should register your name at the Foreigners’ Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) within 14 days of your arrival in India.
  • Check List of supporting documents required for registration with FRRO:
  • Passport size Photographs – Two copies.
  • Request letter addressed to the FRRO, Bangalore(in case of delay and overstay only)
  • Copy of Passport – Photo page, Visa page, Visa Card page and Arrival date page of Passport
  • Address proof- Residential certificate by Hostel / Lease agreement copy along with the copy of electricity bill / Telephone bill / Ration card and ID proof of the Owner (if not staying in Hostel)
  • Original Bonafide Certificate from the Institution
  • College Fee Receipt
  • FRRO Registration is not applicable for the students from Bhutan & Nepal.
  • If you look at the bottom of your VISA pages you will notice prints that read:
  • “Registration required within 14 days of arrival in India for a VISA valid for more than 180 days”.
  • Visit the fill the online application to get the appointment for the registration with FRRO, Bangalore.
  • Submit the application and the supporting documents to FRRO.
  • On submission of the above-said checklist particulars, FRRO will provide you with Residential Permit, which will be valid for only one year generally.

It should be noted that you should be aware of the validity of your STUDENT VISA issued by the Indian Embassy.

In case of expiry of residential permit and STUDENT VISA, the international student has to follow the same procedure to obtain an extension for the same until the completion of the course from FRRO, Bangalore.

  • Passport size Photographs – Two Copies.
  • Request letter addressed to the FRRO, Bangalore stating the purpose
  • Copy of Passport – Photo page, Visa page, Visa Card page and Arrival date page of Passport
  • Address proof- Residential certificate by Hostel authority / Lease agreement copy along with a copy of electricity bill /Telephone bill / Ration card and ID proof of the Owner (if not staying in Hostel)
  • Bank letter or Pass Book
  • Original Bonafide Certificate from the Educational Institution
  • College Fee Receipt
  • Police report from the local police station
