Robotics and Automation Lab from School of Electronics and Communication Engineering is proud to inform that REVA University students are winners of national level Robotics Ideas Competition 2017, held at IIT Bombay on 7th and 8th April 2017. Category: Best demonstration and presentation award.

 

The team showcased the project titled "Sewage Cleaning Robot with the help of Pneumatic system" a portable robot that can be installed in manholes and automatically cleans and retrieves blockages at the push of a button. The robot is designed to protect human dignity, as a replacement for human cleaners in sewage systems, which is a hazardous occupation. The height and reach of the robot can be modified as per the requirements.

 

I whole heartedly thank Dr. P. ShyamarajuSir, Chancellor, REVA University, for creating wonderful infrastructure that facilitated the students to carryout the work in Roboticsand Automation Lab and win the award. I also thank Dr. S.Y. Kulkarni, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, Registrar; Dr. Sunilkumar S. Manvi, Principal REVA ITM & Director School of Computing and Information Technology, for their continuous support and encouragement.

 

My sincere thanks to Dr. R. C. Biradar, Director School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, for providing all the moral support and encouragement. I also thank Dr. K.S. Narayanaswamy Director, School of Mechanical Engineering for his extended support.
