Report on Project Demonstration

At School of EEE, Project demonstration by all semester students were organized on 11.11.2017 as part of implementation of project based learning. About 145 projects were demonstrated during the occasion by all semester students. The honorable Chancellor Dr. P. Shyama Raju sir visited, witnessed the project demo and encouraged the students to take up the projects and to convert them into patents or product development. Respected Vice chancellor Dr. S.Y. Kulkarni sir also visited the project demo and addressed & motivated all the students to take up the projects into higher level by conversion into product development or patents before they finish the course. During the occasion, Dr. Divakar B.P., Dean (R&I) addressed the students and gave tips to converting the projects into patents & products. Dr. Rajashekar P. Mandi, Director School of EEE addressed the students and motivated all the students to take more and more project and learn through making projects by rigging themselves and demonstrating them at national level platforms. He assured all the students to provide the necessary help from the School as well as from University. On the same day Parent Teachers meeting was also organized. The parents have also witnessed the project demonstrated by their wards and expressed happiness about the quality of the projects and the facilities provided by the University to demonstrate the projects by their wards. Project Details

Most Advanced Home Security System

  • Whenever any movement in the house the IR sensor is triggered and alarm turns on.
  • When a fire breaks’ out in the house the fire alarm system is triggered.
  • The gas leakage alarm system detects for a gas leakage in the house.
  • When a burglar enters the house, a message is sent to the user along with 3 photographs of the situation.
  • For every incident the message sent to mobile with pop-up message
 

Low cost CNC Plotter

This project is about rectangular coordinate CNC plotter with the help of arduino uno as the interface between the CNC and the Computer, Computer numerical control (CNC) is widely used in the industrial machining process. It finds it’s applications in Mills, Lathes, Plasma cutters, Electric discharge machining, 3D printers, glass cutting etc. In order to understand the industrial approach towards the automation we have build a miniature version of CNC plotter with the help of steeper motors and arduino uno.

 

Compact & Low Cost LPG Gas Cylinder Monitoring System

The design of Low cost (Rs. 2000/-) LPG leakage monitoring system is proposed for Home safety. In this system, the gas sensor detects the leakage of the LPG and alert the owner about the leak by sending SMS to his personal mobile and activate the alarm. In addition to this, the system continuously monitors the level of the LPG in the cylinder using load sensor and if the level is below the threshold limit the system inform them by SMS and also by the LCD display so that the user have an idea about the max time the LPG lasts. An automatically booking of the cylinder using a GSM module is also used in this proposed system. The device ensures safety and prevents suffocation and explosion due to gas leakage.

Automatic dry and wet waste segregation and monitoring system along with credit system

In this project, we will show how to manage the waste with effective credit system which will fund credentials and further motivate the society to have a hygienic environment. It will stop overflowing of dustbins along roadsides and localities as smart bins are managed at real time through mobile. We have communicated to BBMP regarding the implementation of this project.

Wifi and GSM Based Notification Display Board

The wireless display module enables the authorized personnel to send messages remotely from any part of the world from his/her mobile phone. The message is received by Wi-Fi receiver/GSM module & displayed in LCD screen

Self Learning Experimental Kit

The kit enables students to explore various levels of experiments and thereby inculcates self-learning among students. The kit consists of an op-amp, transistors, a relay, various sensors, an LED and number of resistors. The student can either conduct experiments on individual components or on combination of several components at the system level.
