Held On: 27th Jan 2018

The Department of Psychology (School of Arts & Humanities) had organized a Guest Lecture on NLP and the resource person for the session was Ms. Narmada Rao (NLP Trainer). Poised and vivacious in her approach, she captivated the audience with a wonderful lecture that was accompanied by practical examples. She enumerated on NLP which stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming where Neuro refers to neurology; Linguistic refers to language; programming refers to how neural language functions. In other words, learning NLP was like learning the language of your own mind. She emphasized on NLP as a very practical approach that comprised a set of models, skills and techniques for thinking and acting effectively in the world. The purpose of NLP was to be able to eliminate unwanted behaviors and increase the ability to choose mental, emotional and physical states of well-being. The session ended with some very valuable discussion and interaction.
