Report on Inauguration Function of International Formula Kart Design Challenge– Season 2 held on 17th March 2018

The function began with the Introduction of REVA University to the audience by the students Mr. Sathish and Ms.Jess of School of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr.K.S.Narayanaswamy,Director,School of Mechanical Engg welcomed all dignitaries and participants to the function.

Mr.KaranBhardiya, General Motors (GM)thanked REVA University for hosting the Formula Kart Design Challenge(FKDC) with all quality facilities. He appreciated the all thestudents, i.e., budding engineers for participating in the event and expressed that such events will bridge the gap between academics andindustries. He briefed about the functioning of FMAE (Feternity of Mechanical and Automobile Engineers). He informed that a total of 28 teams are participating in the event including teams from Bangladesh.He explained about the structure of the 3 days event.


Mr. P.L.Ramana Reddy, OMAX Autos Pvt. Ltd is the chief guest and expressed his happiness for hosting the event in at REVA University which has beautiful infrastructure. In his speech, he emphasized on the Innovation and effective delivery which are the basic needs of the industries nowadays.

Dr.Y.RamalingaReddy, Associate Dean of Mechanical and Civil Engineering,congratulatedall the student and faculty members of the school of the MechanicalEngg for hosting the event and advised that students should designand innovate top class cars like Benz, Rolls Royce etc in India.

Dr.S.Y.Kulkarni,Vice-Chancellor, REVA University,expressed in his Presidential remarks that engineering students mustget practical exposure by participating in such events and ininternship courses. He further thanked FMAE and assured that REVAUniversity is ready to host any such events in future.

Mr. Aditya Rao, Executive, FMAE proposed vote of thanks and the function concluded by respecting National Anthem.
