62nd Annual NASA convention

The National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA India) is one of the largest Architectural Student Organizations in the world with student participants from more than two hundred colleges all over the India and countries around the world. The main objective of NASA India is to create a platform for architecture students to learn and interact, engage them directly and indirectly through both online and offline platforms. NASA India conducts events, conventions, seminars, workshops, design competitions & trophies and many other activities.

The 62nd council of NASA India held an Annual Convention from the 7th to10th of February 2020 at the Innovative Film City, Bidadi, Karnataka. The Convention was an amalgamation of events, workshops, seminars, keynotes and cultural competitions, along with the jury and exhibition of the annual trophies of the association. This was 4 days closed convention with accommodation for delegates inside the campus with 2000+ delegates, participants and renowned architects. Five Students from 4th and 6th semester, Sachin P (6th sem), Anushree KR (6th sem), Navya M(6th sem), Vandana K(4th sem), Aavani S Chandran(4th sem) joined for volunteering workshop, registration, security and campus coordination.
Two students from 10th semester Gazala Malik and Raina Bafna conducted workshop on cement finishes as well as launched a product line at Annual NASA Convention. The workshop focused on hands on experience of exploration and application of cement as a material and a finish. The workshop was conducted in two sessions. A session for understanding the properties of material. Followed by a session of sanding and polishing to finish them.

Two students, Bharath Kumar S, Unit Secretary, NASA (6th Semester) and Iliyaz Kazi, Unit Designee, NASA (4th semester) represented School of Architecture, REVA University and actively participated in the convention. A panel of selected works from the students of School of Architecture was displayed during the convention and was appreciated by the jury.
