On 2nd March 2019, the School of CIT and REVA University ACM Student Chapter celebrated the Women’s History Month to commemorate the contribution of Women to the development of society. This was in line with the March 2019 being observed as Women’s History Month world-wide.
It is a matter of proud delight for all of us at REVA University that 40% of our workforce constitutes females and we have a remarkable number of women leaders efficiently managing various Schools, departments and duties here. The aim of this programme was to celebrate each one of them.
On this occasion, we organized a motivational programme called “Her Journey to Excellence”, under which the Distinguished Women Leaders from various Schools of the University were invited to share the most memorable parts of their journey to excellence in life. Our distinguished women leader invitees for the occasion were- Dr. Beena G, Principal, REVA Institute of Science and Management, Dr. Shubha A, Director, School of Commerce and Management Studies and Dr. KirankumariPatil, Director, University Industry Interaction Centre, REVA University. It was an inspiring, invigorating and heart touching experience for us to hear from our women leaders how they beat the odds, broke the glass ceiling and how they continue to march forth in their journey to higher goals with unflinching positivity and strength, all the while fully taking care of their responsibilities at domestic and social fronts as equals.
The function was presided over by Honourable Vice Chancellor REVA University, Dr. S.Y.Kulkarni Sir, graced with presence by Honourable Registrar Dr. M. Dhanamjaya Sir, Dean Placement and Training, Respected Dr. N.Ramesh Sir and our beloved and Respected Director, Dr. Sunilkumar S Manvi Sir.
Our faculty members Prof.Shalini Tiwari and Prof.SurendraBabu K.N added joy to this celebration of Womanhood with their songs.
