10th Annual KSTA Conference

KSTA Conference 2018 started with an invocation song by Prof. Shruthi Chandrashekar followed by Naada Geethe by students of REVA University. Dr. A.M. Ramesh welcomed the gathering with the introduction to KSTA. Prof. Anurag Kumar (Director IISC), Dr. H. Honnegowda (KSTA) Dr. P. Shyama Raju (Chancellor REVA University), Prof. K. M. Kaveriappa (former VC of Mangalore University), Dr. S. K. Shivakumar, Dr. V.G. Talawar (Adviser-REVA University), Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni (Vice-Chancellor REVA University), Dr. M. Dhanamjaya (Registrar – REVA University), Dr. N. Ramesh (Dean, Placement and planning, REVA University) were welcomed for the inauguration of the conference along with the gathering.
Dr. S. Y. Kulakarni (Vice-Chancellor REVA University) who spoke about how the theme for the conference is coinciding with the theme of REVA University. Lighting of the lamp by Prof. Anurag Kumar (Director IISC) and other dignitaries followed by Vignana Geethe by Prof. Ramya Suraj. Inaugural address was by Prof. Anurag Kumar (Director IISC), who spoke about Science and Technology for the future of India. Dr. H. Honnegowda spoke about KSTAs’ Plans to develop science centers and Planetariums in Karnataka. Prof. K. M. Kaveriappa shared his thoughts on health and nutrition and also emphasized on link between subject and its teaching methods. Felicitation by life time achievement award to Dr. Shivakumar for remarkable contribution in the field Science and Technology. Release of the conference proceedings by Dr. P Shyama Raju (Chancellor REVA University) was followed by his presidential remarks. Program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. N. Ramesh (Dean, Placement and planning, REVA University)
