Course Overview
Architecture is characterized by a symbiosis between creativity and technology. The vibrant, dynamic and all-encompassing nature of Architecture and other arts implies that the teaching-learning process in this area is very different from other domains of education. There are multidisciplinary challenges which influence architecture like Art, Technology, Environment, Society, Aesthetics and many more. Architecture is always dynamic. Hence the B.Arch. Program should be designed keeping in view the current situation and possible future developments at global level. The Scheme of instructions and curriculum should be designed to meet the standards by eminent architects, well qualified academicians with different specializations. The architecture course intends to teach students the conceptualization of designs, socio-economic influence and need of the hour. The program must aims to improve student’s aesthetic judgments and facilitate with exposure to a wide range of techniques and offers wide range of learning methods. The students choosing B.Arch. program will enjoy their learning, update themselves in required skill. The student-centered teaching learning ambience, hands-on experience helps to develop their personality to become successful professionals.
The program is to be under CBCS and CAGP system where students will have opportunity to choose the subjects of their interest from wide era of subjects as soft core study and open elective. The personal and professional interests in architecture are matched by our faculty discipline-leading research, providing manifestation of contemporary issues throughout the degree. Our well qualified, experienced and committed faculty will guide, monitor progress and make architecture study interesting and fruitful. Exciting opportunities will be available for students to expand studio experience, participate in design and build projects and leverage the knowledge and skills of proficient teachers. The facilities for curricular and co-curricular activities in REVA with dedicated supportive faculty provide conducive ambiance for learning. The team of faculty members continually upgrade their knowledge base and course delivery techniques through Faculty development programs and by publishing and presenting their research at National and International conferences.
Architects must also be aware of the social context in which their designs are created, interpreted and understood, teaching to students will not be limited to architectural practice, instead induces to be responsive and adaptive thinkers who can produce designs that meet clients’ needs as well as cater to larger environmental concerns. The university fully understands that engagement with these professionally relevant aspects of the architectural profession is what will make our graduates highly sought-after and our alumni, industry leaders. The program aims to develop the students’ aesthetic judgments and facilitate them with exposure to a wide range of techniques and tools, while offering an extensive range of learning methods. Workshops, participation in competition designs, certification programs for enhanced learning, research through documentation and study trips are some of them. We believe that our students will find success in their career and will unfailingly exceed expectations in the real world.

The architectural graduates from REVA University after 5 years of completion of the program will:

Career Opportunities
Graduates in Architecture have excellent opportunities to start their own architectural consultancy firms. They may work as designers in construction companies, Government Departments, such as Public Works Department, Archaeology, Railways, Ministry of Defence, National Building Organization, Town and Country Planning, National Institute of Urban Affairs, Public Sector Undertakings, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, National Building Construction Corporation Ltd., etc. Other organizations / bodies like State Departments, Housing Boards, Local Bodies for construction works, Builders, Architecture Firms, Consultants, etc. also hire architects. International market particularly the USA, Dubai, Australia offer attractive career for architecture professionals.
Eligibility
B.Arch.
Pass in PUC/10+2 / Pre-University Course or equivalent with minimum 50% in PCM scores and Overall marks in aggregate.
OR
10+3 Diploma (Architecture, Civil, and Interior design] or equivalent recognized by the Central/State Governments with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
OR
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
Student should have passed the National Aptitude Test in Architecture [NATA] conducted by Council of Architecture.

JEE part 2 is considered equivalent to NATA.
