    About NCC

  • The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.

    REVA University Details

  • With a view to delegate and realise national efforts at REVA University level, a unit was started in August 2016 with 26 cadets and sanctioned by 39 KAR BN NCC (In open quota), The NCC unit of REVA University, Yelahanka, 
    Bengaluru-64 is granted by 39 KAR BN NCC Bengaluru-01 coming under "Bengaluru ‘B’ GROUP" in the Karnataka & Goa Directorate, Bengaluru.

    Training and Other Activities

    • Regular activities like Drill, Refile Drill, Map Reading, Weapon Training, Field Craft and Battle Craft to name a few are being imparted to the cadets as per the syllabus framed by NCC Directorate, Bengaluru.
    • Anti-Drug Rally, Swachcha Bharath Abhiyan, Yoga, Independence Day, Republic Day, Kargil Vijaya Diwas, Road Safety Rally, Blood Donation, Army Awareness, NCC Inter collegiate competition and NCC Day celebration are the other programs conducted by REVA University, NCC 39KAR BN, Bengaluru, in which our cadets take an active role.

  • REVA University NCC wing is an infantry unit under 39 Karnataka Battalion NCC. Through NCC, we aim to groom our students into models of discipline and patriotism. Develop in them character, commandership, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and selfless service. Our objective is to transform them into trained and motivated human resources who will lead the nation in all walks of life. We will motivate them to join the armed forces and serve the nation. We provide equal opportunity to boys and girls to join NCC, take part in all its activities, which include, besides regular parades and camps, community development and social service programs, training for assisting civil defence authorities in rescue work in war zones and natural calamities and traffic control. Our students are encouraged to join the NCC and thereby enhance their career potential and take advantage of preferential consideration in defence as well as civil recruitment.

    • Cadet Monisha N.S of REVA University got appointed as the Company Senior Under Officer (CSUO).


    • NCC Cadet Vijay kumar Sharma from School of Commerce and Management, REVA University successfully completed the TSC (THAL SENA CAMP). Out of 10,000 cadets only 7 cadets got recommended for All India THAL SENA CAMP this year, a rigorous Training camp known for excellence.


    • Award of Appreciation was presented to Lt. Arpan Dixit, Associate NCC Officer, REVA University by LION’s Club on 6 September, 2018 for contribution and support in planting 10, 000 saplings across railway tracks from Doddaballapur to Andhra Pradesh border with collective efforts from NCC, REVA University, BSF and CRPF. The award also recognized his work and participation as REVA University representative in the Kerala Flood Relief Initiative undertaken by LION’S Club.


    NCC Event - National Level Seminar

  • REVA University was the Venue for the National Level Seminar on “NCC: An Instrument of Nation Building , Future Challenges and Growth” organized by Karnataka and Goa Dte NCC under the agies of Brig. D M Purvimath, VSM**, Deputy Director General, Karnataka and Goa Dte NCC on behalf of Lt. General PP Malhotra VSM, Director General NCC on 05th Dec 2018. The event took off at Kuvempu Auditorium, in the campus with an assembly of eminent personalities from Defense and Education along with NCC Cadets from all Directorates.

    Smt. Mridula Sinha, H’onable Governor of Goa was the Chief Guest of the event. Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Honorable Chancellor, REVA University was venerated by Lt. General PP Malhotra for his illustrious contribution to society as an Edupreneur. Other important dignitaries, Vice Chancellors and Principals from various Universities were also present to grace the occasion.

    A Panel Discussion brought forth relevant discourse on the contemporary points on NCC and its role in shaping the country and youth, that was germane to Nation building. Amongst the eminent speakers were two retired army commanders Lt Gen K Surendra Nath, PVSM,AVSM,VSM (Retd) and Lt Gen (Dr) V K Ahluwalia, PVSM,AVSM**, YSM,VSM (Retd).

    One of the first of its kind, to be hosted at a University, the seminar will open avenues for the youth of the country in this field of distinction, charting out its possibilities. REVA provided the infrastructural support and smooth flow for the event, with active participation from REVA NCC Wing that was also part of the organizing committee of the event.


    Thal Sena Camp

  • NCC Cadet Vijay kumar Sharma from School of Commerce and Management, REVA University successfully completed the TSC (THAL SENA CAMP) for the year 2018-19.


    Chief Minister Prasasthi Patra :
    It was the Red letter day for the Karnataka and Goa Directorate NCC and REVA University NCC wing. This Directorate won the Esteemed Prime-Minister banner ,which was handed over to Deputy Director General NCC , Brigadier Purvimath (Visisth Seva Medal) by Honorable Prime-Minister of India Sri Narendra Modiji on 27 January, 2019, after the Republic Day parade. The winning Contingent which participated in the March Past at Rajpath in New Delhi was welcomed by Karnataka Government. The Government of Karnataka also recognized the endeavours of the officers who performed a remarkable job aptly deserving this Mark of Honour. Lt Arpan Dixit with 9 other Associate NCC Officers were presented with the Chief-Minster Prasasthi Patra . His Excellency Sri Vajubhai Vala appreciated the champion contingent and awardees at Rajbhawan , The Honorable Chief Minister Sri Kumar Swami also Praised the entire team at Vidhan Saudha.

    REVA University was recognized for the Special Award from the directorate for the active participation of its NCC wing in causes and initiatives.

    International day Against Drug abuse

  • On 26/06/2019 with the Collaboration of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) ,REVA University NCC Wing jointly organized the International day Against Drug abuse with the help department of CRPF, BSF,CISF,RPF and State Police .

    On this occasion Officers,Jawans and Cadets took out a rally through the main road to Subsidiary Training Center-STC (BSF) to mark the International day Against drug abuse.

    The event was flagged off by the Chief Guest Hon'ble City Civil Judge G M Sheenappa for (NDPS Act- cases) and Hon'ble Chancellor Dr.P.Shyamaraju sir in presence of Vice-Chancellor Dr.S.Y Kulkarni Sir.

    The United Nations theme for the year 2019 was '' HEALTH FOR JUSTICE, JUSTICE FOR HEALTH''.

    The volunteers sported placards displaying messages aimed at creating Awareness on the disastrous effect of intoxication from drugs on individual and Society's health and economy.

    Around 45 NCC Cadets and PI Staff with 300 Jawans participated for the event and made it grant success .

    The Chief -Guest appreciated the event initiated by REVA University NCC Wing(39kAr Bn).

    He asked the Cadets to fight together against the Drug abuse and Illicit Trafficking , He said this is the war of every individual .

    Oath taking by Cadets

  • Under the flagship program of Swachh Bharat Mission On Jan 17, 2020 REVA University NCC and Civil Defense cadets took the oath for clean India .With this oath cadets will remain committed towards cleanliness and they will devote, with this firm belief that they will not only propagate the message of Swachh Bharat mission, they will also join hands to clean surroundings they will adopt the villages and parks and they will maintain cleanliness. REVA University have also been awarded as the Swachh Campus. The University follows the path of cleanliness.

    Republic Day Celebration

  • India celebrated its 71st Republic day on January 26, 2020. The event is marked by the presidents’ speech, exhibition of military power, parade, and Hoisting of the National flag. 

    Having this outlook over the years this year also REVA University has celebrated the Republic Day. The Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. P. Shyama Raju of REVA University hoisted the national flag in the presence of all the dignitaries and its staff members. After the national salute to the National flag Hon’ble Chancellor received the general salute from the NCC Cadets. The program got over with the National anthem followed by patriotic songs, and cultural programs. The event showcases a nostalgic moment for the Indians and a respect for our nation.  

    Chief Minister’s Program

  • It is my immense pleasure to share that as every year after returning back the contingent  from the Republic Day parade . The task for the arrangement of Chief Minister’s Tea party was given to our esteemed parent Unit 39 Kar Inf Bn,  REVA University NCC Wing feel proud that Commanding Officer of the concern Unit handed over the entire task of the Adam work to REVA University NCC Wing . Around 10 SD Cadets , and 8 SW Cadets were detailed for the task , Cadets Not only completed the entire task of adam work , they also welcomed to the Hon’ble  Chief Minister Shri Yeddiruppa and escorted him for the program.

    • Training and Certification for cadets on iGOT against Covid19 outbreak.
    • After training and with the ascent of cadets parents detailment of cadets on to demand from Parent Unit for the Co-ordination with local administration for various activities such as food packaging, distribution, handling call centre etc.

    Cadets deployment for SSLC Examination

  • During these unprecedented times of COVID, when Karnataka Secondary Education Board announced dates and centres for the SSLC (Class 10) Examinations which commenced on 25th-June-2020, and went on till the 4th July-2020, the NCC wing of REVA University, 39 Kar Infantry BN, noticed that this necessitated in the oversee of social distancing discipline among the students appearing for the exam.

    REVA NCC Unit took up the responsibility of 3 Examination Centres, namely, Government PU College (Yelahanka), SJP Govt. College (Hunsmanhalli) and BGS English School (Chikkaballapura). Our NCC cadets were trained to take up COVID-19 related duties, and these cadets were deployed with PI Staff in the above examination centres to alert about Social Distancing, guide the vehicles to the Parking, and direct the people to other designated places at the Examination Centers. The cadets manned around 1500 students who appeared for examinations in these centres successfully.
