Dr. Rajashekhar C. Biradar

Dr. Rajashekhar C. Biradar serves as the Pro Vice Chancellor of REVA University, where he has been instrumental in steering the University towards academic excellence and research innovation. With over 34 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, Dr. Biradar is dedicated to fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation. He emphasises interdisciplinary research, industry collaboration, and the integration of advanced technologies in education.

Under his leadership, REVA University has achieved significant growth in research output, quality of education, and student engagement. Dr. Biradar has published more than 150 research papers in reputable national and international journals and conferences with high-impact factors. He has guided 10 PhD scholars and is currently supervising 8 more. His work has garnered over 2400 citations, and he holds an h-index of 26. Dr. Biradar has successfully led research projects with funding exceeding 1 crore INR and holds three granted patents.

His research interests encompass wireless networks, including ad hoc networks, sensor networks, mesh networks, network security, and smart antennas. Dr. Biradar is a reviewer for various reputed journals and conferences and has chaired numerous conferences. He is a Fellow of IETE (FIETE), a member of IE (MIE) and ISTE (MISTE), and a senior member of IEEE (SMIEEE). Additionally, he serves as an Executive Committee Member of the IETE Bangalore Centre, a DPC review committee member at URSC, ISRO Bangalore, and a member of the Preliminary Design Review (DPR) committee for the "Radars for Long Range Surface to Air Missile (LSRAM-IN & IAF)" project at LRDE, Bangalore.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Biradar received the ‘BITES Best PhD Thesis Supervisor Award’ from the Board of IT Education Standards, Government of Karnataka in 2021.
