REVA University is a State Private University established in Karnataka State under the Government of Karnataka Act No.13 in the year 2012 in Bengaluru, the IT capital of India. The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

The Department of Mathematics focuses on pure and applied mathematics catering to the professional needs of students from varied backgrounds. The department is offering B.Sc., M.Sc. Programs and Research Program leading to doctoral and post-doctoral research in Mathematics. Fifteen research scholars were awarded Ph.D. Degrees.
